Ranking for ILCA World Open & Youth Championships
The ALCA will, as a default position, use the preceding Australian Championships results as the basis of ranking sailors for any ILCA event which has restricted entry.
Rankings will be allocated consecutively from the order of finishing positions starting at first place for all the ILCA Classes and all the ILCA categories (i.e. Youth, Women, etc). Sailors who apply for entry to World Championships but who do not compete in the ranking Australian Championships will be ranked in the order of their entry application to ILCA International.
Australian Sailing selects and ranks sailors applying for entry to World Sailing World Championships. They publish their ranking and selection criteria from time to time for these events.
Ranking for ILCA World Masters Championships
From the February 2023 World Masters in Pattaya, Thailand and onwards ranking will be based on the results of the previous Australian Masters Championship. For the 2023 Pattaya Worlds this will be the Australian Masters Westernport in February 2022. The new policy is Here.
